If you’re like me you have a tendency to hit the snooze a few too many. For us non-morning folk getting up in the morning can be a tough task at times. Why get up when the bed seems so comfortable and inviting? Here is a little help that will help wake you up in the mornings, get your day going, and help keep you healthy too.
After you read this I want you to give it a try for one whole week, yes 7 days, and see for yourself how you feel. Every morning when you finally roll out of bed I want you to pick one of the following.
1) Perform 20 jumping jacks, 10 push ups and 10 crunches. Do this 3-5 times.
2) If you have a treadmill or elliptical at home jump on it for 10-15 min at a moderate pace. Nothing that makes you out of breath.
3) If your not lucky enough to have a treadmill at home perform front/backs. First run in place with knees up high for 3-5 min then with heels trying to kick your butt for 3-5 min.
You can pick and choose or stick to one for the whole week. Each one takes no more then 15 min so unless your running late there is no excuse not to give it a go. The beauty of this morning routine is that it wakes you up, gives you an energy boost and improves your mood throughout the whole day. This means that you’ll have more energy throughout the day and will be able to handle stress from work, co-workers, traffic, etc a whole lot better then before! Keep it up everyday and you start to improve your health as well. Give it a shot and see for yourself!
Stay healthy my friends!
